Chitika Delays Auditing and Payments

A month after Chitika angered publishers by drastically reducing payments after showing audited figures, they are having problems again. This time they have announced that their auditing for the month of November will be late by about two weeks. This also means that November payment will be about two weeks later than outline by their terms and conditions, which states a net-30 payment.

They also decided to announce this problem via their blog, instead of emailing publishers directly.

I’m sure many more publishers will be dropping Chitika because of these problems; if Chitika keeps this up they may not have any publishers left.

I have pulled Chitika from all of my sites until the my payment comes through. Then I will decide if it is worth placing them back.

    DataFeedFile.com has a Chitika alternative…

I found this site because I was kind of po when I received a rejected email from Chitika… so I went searching for alternatives.

Chitika turned me down due to not enough traffic on my blog. Fortunately I found a similar service based on a much more fair and open market. DataFeedFile.com is a similar service with much more options and banner sizes to choose from.

What I like about DataFeedFile.com is they allow you to choose what merchant to display products for. DataFeedFile.com seems to be a colaboration of hundreds of merchants from the affiliate industry. Check them out yourself, http://www.DataFeedFile.com.

The above comment smells a little of spam, but I decided to approve it anyway. (They were spamming forums earlier this month.)

From what I can tell, they just started up and are in beta right now, but looks like they may have some interesting products.
